With the scenic backdrop of Fort Canning lit by the beautiful colors of the sunset, the happy couple exchanged their vows on the lush green grass in front of their closest family and friends. Adorable nieces and nephews dolled up in tuxedoes and dresses blew bubbles and tossed flowers as the couple walked down the aisle. Followed by roaring applause and tears of joy, the ceremony in the grass was the perfect way to start the evening.

As the sun set over the garden, guests began to file into the tent for the dinner portion of the wedding. The tent, filled with fairy lights and chandeliers, emitted a soft yellow glow over the park. The couple, Tina and Yi Hang, treated their guests to an impressive banquet from Conrad Centennial Singapore and entertainment by Sam Discroll from Vocalise.
The singer, Sam, was asked to sing two Mandarin songs despite not being able to speak the language very well. He managed to learn the requested songs and even joked that he wanted to invite the groomsmen on stage to sing the songs alongside him to take the spotlight off himself.
Despite his inexperience with the language, he delivered the two songs wonderfully and the guests were delighted with the Mandarin songs. The two songs, 柴米油盐酱醋茶 by Wang Lee Hom and 爱很簡單 by David Tao, were specially requested by the bride to be dedicated to her sister. His smooth and effortless vocals received applause and cheers from the audience.
Aside from the Mandarin songs, he performed a wide range of love songs like Jason Mraz’s I’m Yours, John Legend’s All Of Me and some of his own personal favourites from The Beatles.
During the ceremony, countless hugs were exchanged and tears of joy shed. Sam serenaded the couple and their family and friends throughout the night. He ended the night on the perfect note by singing Elvis Presley’s Can’t Help Falling In Love.
