Marching In To The Tunes You Love

Here comes the bride.

There are many aspects of music in a wedding. Be it cocktail receptions, luncheons, dinners or the after-party, music plays different roles in the many segments of your big day. Today, we will be sharing about what some may consider the most exhilarating moment of the day. At the end of the aisle, you are going to say ‘I do’, making a promise to love and be there for each other for the rest of your lives.

Being such a defining moment of your life, more attention should be paid to make it as sentimental and memorable as it can be. It is a journey experienced not only by the two of you but also by your loved ones who will witness your promise to commit to each other both in good and in bad. You are walking towards the rest of your life! So why not make it an epic and memorable one? Whether it’s the sounds of strings or the sounds of beats, choose something that will make you look back to the moment with the feeling of warmth and velvety melts.

Here are a couple of reasons as to why music is an important element to making your march in nothing short of amazing.

1. Timing is everything.

Live music allows you to add the feature of perfect timing. It allows for the elimination of awkward interjections and pauses. Just imagine having a sudden and abrupt stop to a song of your Spotify playlist on your wedding day because of the silence at the end of a song. Compare it with a timely and smooth fade out on the strings as portrayed in the video below. The correct start and stop of music adds a dramatic element to your journey down the aisle.

2. Song choice adds the WOW

Whether it’s walking down to ‘ A Thousand Miles’ by Christina Perri or something more traditional like ‘ Here Comes The Bride’, you should pick a song that means something to you as a couple. So find a song that speaks to you and your partner and get ready for the emotional fireworks!

3. It takes time to orchestrate the emotional journey.

The wedding procession involves many parties. It involves not only the person that you are going to spend the rest of your life with. It includes your closest friends and family, some of whom will walk down with you as bridesmaids and groomsmen. The question then arises, how would you orchestrate the walk? Will you be marching in to the same song as the bridal party? Or would you like to add more personality walking down the aisle through a variety of tempos and melodies for you and your bridal party? It is up to your creativity on how you’d like the walk to be done. Get some inspiration below on how you could arrange your wedding processional music.

With that in mind, music customisations accompanied with live elements could very well let you walk down the aisle with anticipation of what the future beholds with your newly-wed partner.
