VSQ Performs for Siemens ASEAN CEO Handover Ceremony

On 1 November, Vocalise String Quartet (#vsqsg) had the honour of performing for Siemens ASEAN CEO Handover ceremony held at Chijmes.

It was an evening affair and VSQ played a total of three sets. The songs were chosen by the CEO’s wife and the quartet obliged with pieces from Nutcracker and Shostakovich. The songs are uncommon, as they are challenging Orchestra pieces that have been scaled down.

At the start of the buffet dinner, VSQ opened with a round of classical songs. These included tunes like “Horn Pipe” and “Arrival of Queen Sheba”.

For the second set, the theme was Chinese and Asia tunes which included hits like “Shanghai Beach” and “Ju Hua Tai”.

For the last set, the songs revolved around a contemporary theme, and VSQ played songs like “I have a Dream” and “What a Wonderful World”.

VSQ added to the wonderful ambience of the night with the elegance of their tunes, winning applause after each set with an appreciative crowd at the VIP table.
