Starting 2021, Vocalise has been actively featuring our artistes on a wide variety of different programmes with Candlelight Concerts. Currently, our performing artistes include VOX, Vocalise String Quartet (VSQ), Vocalise Jazz, Oriental Strings and Harp, all frequently selling out to full-house concerts!
To date, our string quartets VOX and VSQ have performed over a total of 300 shows!
Our artistes spend hours of hard work over many rehearsals, constantly rehearsing and perfecting our craft for the important hour of music on stage that we get to perform for our audiences. All of our artistes take their craft seriously and assure quality and reliability in performance, with rehearsals that do not encourage complacency, no matter how many shows we perform!
Let us bring you through our journey with Candlelight, starting with “Candlelight Halloween: A Chilling Evening of Classical Compositions on Strings” at CHIJMES.
During the preparation of this show, our musicians had loads of fun rehearsing pieces that were familiar to many, including theme songs from The Phantom of the Opera, The Addams Family, Stranger Things and Squid Game.
On the actual day, it was extra enjoyable as the musicians got to have the chance of putting on fun costumes, hair and makeup (the guys decided to join in the fun) as well as hearing the reactions of the audiences when a well-known piece was played.
