A & T’s Wedding

Last week, Vocalise String Quartet (VSQ) played for A&T at one of the oldest Christian church in Singapore, Armenian Church. It was an honour to be able to play at such a building with rich, historical significance.

We managed to get VSQ settled in a comfortable position despite the limited space available in the wedding hall. As guests were settling in, the quartet played a classical pieces during the Prelude, including Delibes’s ‘Flower Duet’ from the opera Lakmé, to set the ambience and create a romantic mood, leading into the actual ceremony. The couple also requested for a special piece during the Prelude: ‘Theme from a Summer Place’.

These are the pieces VSQ performed during the ceremony:

March in: Air in G

Holy Communion: The Prayer

Signing of Register: Great is Thy Faithfulness

March Out: Mendelssohn’s Wedding March

Popular songs such as ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love’ and ‘Close To You’ were then played to entertain the guests while they wait for their turn for the photo-taking session.

We are glad to be able to perform A & T’s beautiful wedding and we wish them both a lifetime of love, laughter and happily ever afters!
