Premium live musicians and entertainment for all events
We at Vocalise believe in creating a kaleidoscopic trove of everlasting memories. We understand that cookie-cutter style packages – while convenient – may not be everyone’s cup of tea. If you seek a little more finesse or pizzazz for your event’s entertainment, Vocalise is here to help you realise that.
If a particular artiste or instrumental set-up has caught your eye and you wish to discuss further with regard to any specifications, or you’re feeling overwhelmed by thoughts and ideas on what sort of live entertainment would be most ideal, feel free to chat with us!
We’d love to hear from you, and we’d be more than happy to mix things up for your event.
Despite choosing to learn to play the organ over ballet at the age of four before moving on to learn the piano, Ziline Chen considers herself a music lover instead of a musician. To her, her interest in music has always been a passion.
As the Co-Founder of Vocalise, which celebrates its 12th anniversary this year, Ziline shares that it was not always smooth sailing. Back then, she was duped into thinking that starting a business was easy. Oh, how she was in for a rude awakening.
Although a new company and not knowing much about the different set ups, Ziline kept an open mind and remained a positive spirit.
Over time, she managed to learn about pop and jazz set ups on the job, and built connections with musicians and singers via recommendations from friends.
Today, she proudly says that she gets to work with some of the best talents in the industry!
Managing artistes and events on top of other things is not an easy task, but Ziline always strives to do her best as she is a strong believer in taking pride in her work.
To her, the biggest reward is when guests enjoy and appreciate musicians for their performance.
During her downtime, Ziline escapes reality by watching something familiar to most of us – Chinese period dramas! Something about the intricate costumes, sword fighting, and majestic music appeals to her.
Unfortunately with Covid-19, the events industry has been turned upside down. With the cancellation of gigs, downsizing of events, and postponement of weddings, just to name a few, it has been difficult to generate income.
With the new MOH measures announced on 24 March, with all entertainment venues to be closed, musicians will be out of jobs for up to a month. Vocalise is definitely affected with contracts put on hold and upcoming weddings postponed.
“Never had we have to weather through such unknown times. I am just hoping for the light at the end of the tunnel to come soon”, Ziline opens up.
Hope everyone keeps safe, wash your hands and stay home as much as you can.
