It is not December yet but we’re already excited for Christmas!

*screams* PARTIES GALORE!
“Isn’t it too early to plan for Christmas?” To that we say nay! It is never too early to plan for anything. The more time you allocate to planning your event, the more well executed it will probably be (barring any potential hiccups, of course).
In our professional opinion, a good time to start prepping for your events ranges from 2 months prior to as early as half a year! So for Christmas, now is as good a time to start scouting for venues, food and entertainment as any.
If “early planning” is something that yields a blank in your mind and you don’t know where to start, this post is specially dedicated to you!
As this post’s title suggests, today’s article is about planning the perfect Christmas party – specifically for the office.
Step 1: Mark your party date and time

December is a popular month for travel and holidays. After an entire year of working to hit those KPIs, this is finally the month where everyone can take a breather before getting back on the grind. Before you work out the finer (often more fun) details, decide on a date and time where the majority of your colleagues are going to be present so that you have an ample number of attendees. Nobody wants a party with awkward silences and a few people scrolling endlessly on their phones. For simplicity, you could just do an quick poll with a few shortlisted dates. Instagram now has a poll function that you could utilise as well!
Step 2: Set your budget

Probably the most important part of planning any event is how much money you are able to spend on said event. Get creative with how you can utilise your budget. Want a wide variety of food items but can’t hit the per-pax budget? Organise a potluck with your co-workers! Want a pinterest-worthy table decor? Try your hand at some easy-to-make items like this string of tassels. We suggest using Christmasy colours such as gold and white.
Step 3: Pick a venue

Once you have decided on your date, time, and the number of attendees you’ll be expecting, you can decide on where to host your Christmas get-together. Don’t want to book a lavish venue? You could also seek out smaller spaces such as a quaint cafe (then you’ve got your food covered too). Alternatively, you could transform your office space into your party grounds as well – as long as you have ample space for everyone.
Step 4: Plan your entertainment AKA The Fun Part
For interactive entertainment, come up with a simple quiz segment! You could also organise a “Best Decorated Office Desk/Cubicle” contest for all your colleagues to get the office decked out way in advance (who doesn’t love christmas decor, right?) Prizes help entice participation.

If you’d like something with a little more pizzazz, you could engage Vocalise to provide acts such as illusionists who will perform up close with all your party attendees!
For those who prefer a more chilled-out type of party, we offer an array of musicians who are adept at a multitude of genres ranging from Pop, Jazz, Classical, Easy Listening, and Evergreen Classics to name a few. Your guests need only enjoy the food and ambience while we help you elevate the party experience with our music.
