The night of music started off with Lester, our violinist, striding onto the pool and into the crowd, playing the first verse of I Will Survive. Then, out came Justine and Dolly, our second violinist and violist. By the end of the song, they had made their way onstage to join Wei Tian, our cellist. This simple yet surprising piece of choreography set the tone for the evening, that proceeded to be full of fun and excitement.
Last Thursday, Sequoia Capital held a networking dinner on top of the Ritz Carlton pool. Sheets of acrylic covered the pool, and guests stood over water, enjoying not only a buffet of delicious food and a free flow bar but the live performance VOX provided.

It was an interesting experience, having our musicians roam around freely, and it certainly gave the event a unique element.
