Rehearsals for the Pop Orchestra

Going through the songs for the first time is like discovering a new realm of possibilities. As seating arrangements and bowings are decided, the very first steps to the final performance are taken. Not only did the musicians meet others for the first time, but it would also be the first time they heard the pieces come together.

Practice makes perfect!

Their second rehearsal at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music was much more technical. Our conductor, Lester Kong, worked together with the Music Director to make sure the session was productive and efficient.

Individually mic-ed up to be recorded, everyone had to play perfectly. They joined up with the brass players and band for the first time, too.

This is what their rehearsals were like!

We can’t wait to show you the final product of our labour – that this may be the biggest setup and scale that Vocalise has been involved in this year – stay tuned!
