Emcee & Jazz Pop Band with David Beckham at Marina Bay Sands Singapore

On 16 November, Vocalise had the privilege to present our emcee, Charissa, and our band featuring Imelda, to perform for David Beckham’s yearly visit to Marina Bay Sands.

It was Vocalise’s third event with Beckham, and our keyboardist and saxophonist opened with jazz instrumental to welcome the invited guests.

To our immense pleasure, David Beckham remembered Charissa who hosted him two years ago!

Charissa entertained the crowd by interviewing Beckham on how he kept his relationship alive with his wife, Victoria Beckham, and continued with questions about his culinary school time in Italy.

It was a professional and light-hearted interview and our host also facilitated the photo-taking session with guests, together with the lucky draw.

Imelda and band delivered a stunning performance with some of Beckham’s favourite artists, including those from the UK. Of course, “2 Become 1” by the Spice Girls was included in the setlist.

Closing off the night, the band gave a lasting performance with “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” by Elton John, David Beckham’s friend and one of his favourite artists.

It was a wonderful event and Vocalise is honoured to have been part of the celebration.
