On 19 January, Vocalise presented Ms Lou and Vocalise Jazz band for the wedding of Johannes and Joey at Ritz Carlton.
It was a grand event, planned by The Wedding Entourage. The decor was inspired by Iceland, where the couple first met. Mark Lee, a Singaporean celebrity and comedian, emceed the event.
Ms Lou and Vocalise Jazz band set the atmosphere as their melodious tunes filled the ballroom.
Known as Singapore’s vintage glamour songbird, Ms Lou blended old-school vocal stylings with modern sensibilities.
They performed both English & Mandarin songs like “Ye Lai Xiang”, “Moon River”, and “Isn’t She Lovely”, entertaining guests from overseas as well as locals.
The band also accompanied Mr Salvador Panelo, one of the VIP guests, who serves as the presidential spokesperson of Philippines President, Rodrigo Duterte.
It was an impromptu arrangement, and our band played alongside him, unrehearsed, as Mr Salvador, sang beautifully to the couple.
It was a wonderful celebration, filled with much laughter and warmth, and Vocalise is proud to have been part of the happy couple’s special day.
