Singapore’s social media celebrity and fashion icon Melissa Celestine Koh tied the knot with her longtime sweetheart James Chen earlier this month with celebrations lasting the course of the weekend! Here’s what happened:

While the main highlights of the event began with the couple’s solemnization at the elegant and regal premises of the Church of St. Teresa, preparations between Vocalise and the couple began way beforehand.
For an event of such a scale, Vocalise presented the couple with 2 of our finest groups –
VOX and Too Much Drama (acoustic)

With hymns needing to be arranged in-house for the quartet and prepped in advance of the big day, VOX switched things up specially for this momentous occasion and performed a repertoire of sacred melodies and classical pieces for the couple’s church ceremony.
Rehearsals were also arranged for Melissa and James to practice their songs of choice (yes, the couple sang for their own wedding luncheon!) alongside our musicians from Too Much Drama.

Shedding their familiar glam-rock look, VOX began the morning’s events with classics such as Air in G and the ever popular Wedding March by Mendelssohn. The shift from the edgy quartet’s usual repertoire was new and it was definitely a refreshing facet reflective of what this quartet was capable of.
As the bridal entourage concluded their entrance, the beautiful bride emerged – accompanied by her father – and proceeded down the church’s gorgeous aisle adorned with fresh flowers, to the welcome of the couple’s friends and family. Thus starting the wedding mass of Melissa and James.
Following the morning’s sacred ceremony, the couple headed over to their second venue at the lush premises of Gardenasia – where our acoustic live band Too Much Drama was already on standby.

As the couple set about mingling with their invited guests, Too Much Drama performed a series of familiar songs such as John Mayer’s XO and Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud
Some of the lovely couple’s guests joined in to do a little shimmy-and-a-shake as well! Check out this little kiddo jamming to Allie’s powerful vocals.

This was definitely a wedding to remember, and the team at Vocalise would like to congratulate the lovely couple on their new phase in life, as well as wish them a blessed marriage ahead.

*Vocalise values our work with our couples and we are proud to present VOX and Too Much Drama for Melissa Koh & James’ Wedding. We worked with the couple on their needs like any of our other couples, listening to their requirements and work with our bands on it.
As a collaboration with Melissa, Vocalise sees it as a mutually beneficial campaign and an investment in our artistes. We hope that through this collaboration, we will be able to reach out to more couples and increase the awareness of our artistes.
