Started in 2013, The Sands for Singapore Charity Festival aims to increase public awareness of various Singaporean charities and raise funds for them through a series of meaningful, family-friendly activities. Since then, Marina Bay Sands has successfully raised over S$16 million in total for local charities.
MBS Open Stage
The multi-day festival took place from 8-10 September and was spread across the whole Marina Bay Sands area, including the theatres, malls, convention centre and museum. This year, Sands for Singapore celebrates its 5th anniversary with a new component, SunDown Picnic, featuring OPEN STAGE – a concert series showcasing up and coming home-grown musicians. The series features 4 concerts happening throughout 2017.
Too Much Drama (TMD)* was invited to perform as part of the 3rd OPEN STAGE concert on 8 and 9 September. The Event Plaza was converted into a cosy picnic area filled with quality food, drink and live music.
TMD performed awesome sets that included recent hits (Despacito), old gems (YMCA) and Mandarin songs (伤心的人别听慢歌 ).
The Event Plaza was filled with audiences, especially on the 9th! TMD had the crowd cheering and dancing to their music. Nothing gets us more excited than seeing the audience enjoy the music of the band we present!
Thank you for having us at such a meaningful event!
