Chijmes wedding of Gregory & ChuiMei

On 20 July, Vocalise String Quartet (#VSQsg) performed at Chjmes, the historical 19th– century complex for the wedding banquet of Gregory and ChuiMei.

It was the wedding of a police officer, and the dinner banquet was unlike one we had ever seen before. As #VSQsg performed their set, officer mates dressed in their smart and formal police uniforms formed a sword bearer, awaiting the bride and groom. Our string quartet played Trumpet Voluntary during the military march-in and Wedding March by Mendelssohn for the bridal march-in.

Leading the walkway were adorable flower girls and boys who were as young as two years old, and the newly-wedded couple followed close behind.

With the high-ceilings, architecture, and beauty of the venue, VSQ was a beautiful addition with the acoustics of their strings adding to the wonderful ambience.

During the dinner banquet, we played familiar love songs on stage, and filled the venue with the soothing tunes of our music. The guests also applauded our musicians after almost each song, making us feel deeply appreciated.

We would like to thank this couple for having us be part of their special day, and we wish them nothing but the best ahead.

Our couple really enjoyed the entertainment very much and left us a positive feedback!
