Singapore's first pop rock string quartet

As Singapore’s first pop rock quartet, VOX, bridges the gap between contemporary and classical music. They are experts in performing with the finesse of an orchestra coupled with an edgy, unapologetic demeanour of a seasoned rock star.

Known for their bold re-interpretations of Pop and Rock classics, such as Sweet Child of Mine, Rolling In The Deep, and Smells Like Teen Spirit mixed in with western Classical repertoire by the likes of Mozart and Beethoven, VOX has upstaged the stereotype that classical and pop rock genres cannot co-exist.

Vocalise is proud to present VOX for Candlelight Concert Series:

Founder of VOX

Lester, founder of VOX, Pop Rock Quartet
Lester brought VOX together as part of his bigger ambition to inject cool and street cred into classical instruments. With VOX, he feels free to explore and create new sounds with his violin, Kosmo because “there are no restrictions or limitations to the way we play and express ourselves”. In addition to VOX, Lester has also gathered much experience over the years, as a violinist in various orchestras including the Singapore National Youth Orchestra and The Philharmonic Orchestra.
